What you may not know is that she’s also a glam mom, great with constructing Legos and an avid traveller. Apart from her lovely little boy, you can now find out what else gives her energy and pleasure in her daily life.
With our recent growth in people and offices abroad, we realized more than ever that our involvement in local communities and culture plays a crucial part in shaping both our personal and professional lives and invariably translates into our work. That’s why we made it a point to try to give back to the community however we can.
Lately we’ve been involved in supporting several interesting local projects, communities and causes that help us feel a more productive part of our environment and hopefully, make it better. We thought we’d tell you about them bit by bit with the hope that we can inspire you to find that local initiative that sparks your enthusiasm and gets you to do something – whether it’s cleaning the park, volunteering for a cause or a local festival or organizing a morning run group – we promise, it’s worth it. Today we start our Community series with our most recent initiative – supporting a live music concert in the city where our headquarters are located.
Today a critical vulnerability was found in one of the most popular and widely used WordPress plugins – Jetpack. Fortunately, according to the plugin authors there is no evidence that this issue has been used to hack real sites. However, an update of the plugin was released – Jetpack 4.0.3.
As usual, our security team was pro-active and updated our WAF (web application firewall), adding rules to prevent the hack from being used. This means that even if your plugin is not updated to the latest version, your site will still be protected. However, we urge all Jetpack users to update the plugin to its latest version in which the vulnerability is patched.

Following the introduction of Let’s Encrypt free SSL certificates on our hosting platform, we are now launching more major upgrades in our SSL offerings. We will no longer provide Standard SSL certificates and all our customers that already bought Standard SSL will be upgraded for free to the premium Wildcard SSL. We are also dropping the price of Wildcard SSLs more than half. The range of SSL certificates offered at SiteGround will now consist of Let’s Encrypt, Wildcard and Extended Validation (EV).

Four years ago we stumbled on the following somewhere on the web: “Offscreen – a print-only magazine about the people behind the internet and technology.” Naturally, our first thought was “Why make a print magazine for people who spend most of their time online?” It certainly piqued our curiosity, and that’s how we came to order our first issue of Offscreen. It was also issue No1 – a brand new magazine. Today, we happily received Issue No14 at the SiteGround office.

ImageMagick is one of the most widely used services to process images. Most of the web applications use it for many different purposes – to crop images, to resize them, to generate different thumbnail sizes, etc. Unfortunately, a serious vulnerability was discovered within the service, that allows an attacker to execute code remotely on your site. As usual our security team started working on a way to protect our customers immediately and came up with a solution hours after the vulnerability was disclosed.
At first glance our top customer care representative for April seems just like any other guy – he doesn’t kick off his day with anything special. Once you start to get to know him, however, you’ll see he’s just humble like that. Kamen got your top ratings this month and he wouldn’t even brag about it – maybe that’s because he’s already served nearly 25 000 clients at SiteGround, so he’s not easily impressed. This was the 12th SiteGround’s birthday party and it was definitely different from any of the previous 11 SiteGround anniversaries I have been to. For me, this vintage party came after a very hard personal year, in which I grew older more than in any other year in my life before. For SiteGround it came after a tremendously successful year, in which the company grew bigger more than in any other year before.
